When was the last time you used Algebra to solve a problem? Unless you were a math student, I'm guessing it was that horrible 10th-grade class. Consider what would have happened if your parents had the option of opting you out. What if they could have just signed a piece of paper to exempt you from that math unit? So, as bad as Algebra is, it's still necessary. You may not use it on a daily basis, but it is beneficial sometimes, and sex education is the same way. Even if you have no intention of becoming sexually active, you should learn about sex, anatomy, contraception, and the other topics that make up sex education. Right?

Sex education is just as crucial as Algebra, so why can we opt out of one but not the other? Knowledge is for everyone, and sex education shouldn't be limited to certain people because of their parents' views. Access to comprehensive, medically accurate sex education is a human right! Though sex education has (thankfully) changed over time, and day by day, we are becoming chill towards it, but...but there is still a lot that we have to learn and comprehend. We simply cannot do sex education with a big one-off talk (even if you think you are a smartass and have covered everything). Today it is about lots of small, frequent, repetitive conversations with each other.

So why do we need to talk about all this stuff?

Because it is inevitable that we would not hear about sex, from our friends, from surfing the internet and watching television, so by seizing in first, we can make sure that we receive the correct information and not wait for two flowers to come closer for having sex (all thanks to TV). More importantly, know how we feel about it.
